Normal: Accurate, Safe Throw, Catch / Sure Hands, Sure Feet, Dodge. ![]() A Wood Elf Thrower also has access to take Leader on a normal skill, which can be great on a team with such expensive and fragile players. The more advanced your Thrower is the further you can move the ball in a turn in a reliable manner, stretching the play and forcing the opposition to cover more of the pitch. ![]() That player can then either go and score themselves or run it to another team mate to hand off for the score. Then the following turn the Thrower will move up the pitch, their high movement allowing them to get around a single opponent placed in the way and then launch a pass up the pitch to an awaiting receiver. The lower agility Throwers of other teams don’t give this asset, it also means that if you pick the ball up with someone else, you can skip taking Sure Hands on the Thrower if you wanted. Their high agility means that they can also help skill up team mates who pick the ball up from the kick off and do a quick pass to the Thrower for a completion SPP. This is down to the fact they have high agility to be able to pick the ball up easily (or catch a hand off or pass from a team mate) and they also have high movement to cover the pitch and close the distance between them and the target of their passes. This makes Wood Elf Throwers a great addition to their teams as they can move the ball the furthest in the most reliable manner of any player in the game. I would say that perhaps they aren’t the best team to start out with becuase of this.Wood Elves are the fastest of the high agility teams and rely a lot on moving the ball around the pitch quickly. However their high cost and fragility can leave you with few players left to use which can make it really tough to play. The Wardancer comes with great starting skills and as a result they have a big target on them for the opposition.Īs a beginner team their speed and agility can help get out of bad spots when it comes to handling the ball and scoring. They also posses one of the best players in the game which is the Wardancer. Their players are expensive however and you need to be careful with protecting them on the pitch. The Treeman does a good job of soaking up some of the pressure and the players are agile enough to run away if needed. They have low armour and their starting skills and stats are more orientated towards the ball rather than hitting the other team. Of course it isn’t all good and the wood elf players tend to be quite fragile. They are also the only elven team that has access to a big guy player. All the players can be a potential scoring threat and this is what makes them a dangerous opponent. ![]() Wood elves are the second fastest race in the game, combine that with their elven agility they are very good at moving the ball about the pitch. ![]() Loner (4+), Mighty Blow (+1), Stand Firm, Strong Arm, Take Root, Thick Skull, Throw Team Mate Instead they rely on their natural athletic ability to keep them out of trouble, which is normally enough – it takes a very agile or lucky opponent to lay a hand on a Wood Elf! QTY No Wood Elf worth his salt is going to be weighed down by extra Armour and be forced to lurk about, attempting to knock opposing players over. For Wood Elves the Long pass is everything, even more so than their High Elf cousins, and all of their effort goes into being an expert at throwing or receiving.
